The Rotorua gathering sounds good especially as it is just down the road but I havent yet had the time to find out any details about it. The WOF on the car was a more pressing matter but that is all done now. If you could help with some details it would be great.
February the 9th/10th/11th. I will PM you with the contact persons Email address.

Isn't the internet great, it makes the world a small place.
On the speedo thing - mine have always been so tight in the dash that the screws seldom get re-tightened.

Personally I couldnt lose my drivers side glove box. Its far too useful for keeping a small chamois, bag of sweets, odments..etc.. even if you do have to dive between steering wheel spokes to access it.
Here's how I've fitted mine. They're partially obscured by the indicator stalk but you can still see where the needles are.
The two-guage moutning plate is a common enough part and it attaches to one of the glovebox 'hinge' screws underneath.
The larger guage is a tacho. I can still use my glovebox with it there.

Hi folks
Heres another idea, I vac formed some 'boxes' in our prototype shop and mounted my dials in front of the heater. I still have the vac forming tool at work, so if anyone wants any then let me know, as our design studio is being shut down at the end of March and I am losing my job. I made these in black styrene, and I cut the holes and slots in them by hand and made simple aluminium plates to fix them to the underside of the dash.

Cheers
Dave

Well that's a neat solution and leaves the heater control lever clear not seen it done like that before
