Hello all,

another source of L.E.D. illuminated light switches suitable for cars is Vehicle Wiring Products, who also sell by the metre, cable of the varying colour codes and sizes so you can do a professional job.

By the way, I agree with Jim regarding the usefulness of reversing lights both to see with and also to warn other traffic that you are reversing or about to do so.
Fog lights (front or rear)? bin fodder, more hindrance than help.

Thats really neat Russ !
Think reversing lights are a must, and if i was driving south on fast roads - dual carridgeways / mways reckon fogs would be a real boon to safety - just an extra chance someone going too fast in poor visibility might see you rather than stove into the rear of your mog.

FWIW You could always fit just the reversing lights, and switch the lenses for red ones should it be foggy :)

I seem to remember Hella used to make reversing lights with clip on red covers in the 70's for this purpose.

Nice idea but wouldn't work with a gearbox-operated reverse light switch unless you fitted an (illuminated) over-ride switch.

Only reversing when it's foggy is an otion though...
