Can anyone know where I can source the push in lampholders for the smiths gauges.

I have bought 3 gauges from ebay and none have arrived with the lamp holders, is the lampholder part of the wiring loom.

I had an idea and tried high intensity LED's but the are directional and dont give a good result.

any suggestions?

I have a feeling the holder is part of the loom.

However, that means there should be plenty around on old frayed/ melted looms so you can just snip off and splice in :)

Or alternately, http://www.autosparks.co.uk/store/catal ... t.asp?l=68 - Just under halfway down the page, a variey of holders. I've used Autosparks in the past for a small order, and even though there can't have been much profit in it they were very helpful on the ohne, and the bits turned up very quickly too :)
