AFAIK it doesn't matter which way you bolt them together because the prop is balanced separately to the diff.ndevans wrote:Kevin, thanks for that. I am going to try turning the prop shaft through 180 degrees first as it's not impossible that it's been reassembled the wrong way round in the past.
In theory yes, but in practise if they both have a small balance error, you can double it or reduce it by re locating the prop.AFAIK it doesn't matter which way you bolt them together because the prop is balanced separately to the diff.
Thanks Alex.11AM. I can take you all the way to Inverness.

My full list is:-
1 Spray and then fit 2 new front wings and one new rear wing.
2 Fit 2 front spot lamps.
3 Make an instrument panel and fit a tacho, voltmeter & ammeter.
4 Make a sliding cup holder.
5 Fit the anti-roll bar that has been sitting in the garage for the last 18 months.
6 Wire in a reversing light.
7 Re-do the cab roof-rear roof rubber seal (it leaks).
8 Flush and change the engine oil and filter.
9 Flush and change the water.
10 Grease the steering rack.
11 Drill out the door hinges to 21/64 and fit oversize pins.
12 Grease the front suspension & prop shaft.
13 Try to cure the annoying vibration that kicks in at about 55 (no it's not worn u/j's, think the prop shaft may be a tad out of balance).
14 Get the tracking checked.
15 Clean and de-grease the engine bay.
16 Check the oil levels in the dampers.
17 Replace the air filter.
Item 8-done (see post about oil filter in Mechanical section).

Yes I had intended to and have started making enquiries. To help with the organisation, if those that would like to do this will let me know asap and also suggest a time, I will see what I can do.ndevans wrote: Are we all going to meet up on the Saturday evening in a pub somewhere, like we did last year? To start the ball rolling, 7pm on Sat 2nd Aug, somewhere near Penzance would suit us. We are staying in Penzance YH.Judge wrote:Yes I had intended to and have started making enquiries.
