I feel strongly that if the Club is to survive we have to bring it to the attention of those outside of existing moggy circles. This was just one way of doing this, and with the help of people like you, Steve and Bridgette, and Harold Essen, it was made a very enjoyable event.

Well to be quite Honest I was very disappointed they never did more, especially as the fit bird(yes she really is better to look at than sounds on the phone) at the paper was so enthusiastic about it in the first place.
Never mind, next year bit more planning lot more coverage - daft thing the local rag goes worldwide on a mail subscription - only pipped a guy in the US to the post for my trav from 5 miles away as he'd seen the ad a week later - just goes to show...
Yes wholeheartedly agree that raising awareness can only be a good thing.

Quote Alex "It might be fun to do a "round Britain" tour, following coast roads as much as possible,......"
Good to see you like my idea of a Round Britain Run Alex

I have considered the idea before but I reckon it would take about two weeks even at rally pace, longer if you stopped to look at the scenery. Unfortunately the nature of my job means they don't like me taking long holidays - a week is bad enough. Ireland is quite a bit smaller...

Nice read Alex

That would be a good idea Bill, I suppose most of us who live near the coast could join in for part of the run in their area... but I think it would maybe take some organising

Yes, though unfortunately the postman folded it in half to get it through the letterbox.
The print is only slightly damaged but I had to throw the cardboard frame away.

That's a shame, Neil got his with no problem. Perhaps a complaint to Royal Mail? It went Parcel Post and therefore should have been handed to you, or left at your local Post Office.

I was just wondering what's happening with the official MM report. Is somebody working on it?

I discussed this during the run, and believe that Stephanie will be doing this and sending it to me. In the meantime if anyone would like to send me their own report and pictures, with Stephanie's agreement I would prepare a combined report.

You're welcome to use anything from my report. Let me know if you need higher resolution pictures.

Stephanie has also been asked to do a piece about the run for the local Bristol IAM group. We'll try to get something to you by the end of next week Bill.
Has anyone got any digital copies of the line-up outside the pub in Ludgvan the night before we set off?
cheers,
Neil

Anyone else noticed that this topic had nearly 23,000 hits between February and September this year?
More entrants next year?
