Whyaye! It's a good job I like watching Auf Wiedersehen Pet

Actually I don't recall seeing any Geordies on here?!?!? I wonder what the Moggy 'scene' is like up there?? I might have to join another 'local' branch.....

The North East Branch seems to be the nearest I think.

Anyone on here a member I wonder??

Rather than start a new thread I'll stick this in here, it's for Cam primarily.
I went to the 15th Trentham Historic Transport gathering yesterday and although there were a some Minors dotted around I didn't see the Potteries MMOC branch represented anywhere. Have they ever attended this gathering representing the MMOC or might there be any plans to do so in the future? It was excellent with an enormous cross section and number of classic and vintage vehicles in attendance.
Just what classes a "boy racer's" car as historic did escape me though. :-? There were a few of them on display and what I noticed was they didn't attract the same viewing as the older cars, which was good.

Unfortunately I will have to leave my cars in Stoke too
Maybe not such a bad thing? If so, you could always start a collection up there too..
Not sure what u would find to do without the pile of cars to fix... ;-)

(sigh). Yes, it HAS been mentioned but the rest of the commitee don't seem to want to get involved with this event for some reason. Some members of our branch have taken part in the past (and still do I believe).

I will mention it AGAIN at the next meeting (16th Aug) and mention that people are asking about the Potteries branch presence!

I missed it this weekend for 2 reasons: 1) I forgot! and 2) I was under my MG welding!

Not sure what u would find to do without the pile of cars to fix...
Oh I'm sure I can find something to do

Thanks Cam and I understand.
I didn't know myself it was happening last weekend until I was informed by a neighbour who has a 1937 Austin 7. I also went along to a smaller gathering at Heath House (Tean) the previous week, unfortunately the weather was rubbish and there weren't so many there.
Very good attendance at Trentham which I'm sure was helped by the glorious weather on the day (Sunday).

I have found a couple of photo's taken during a recent website rally to Gayden. Presumably a number of the folk are forum participants. Would it be possible for someone to put names to the faces?

Thanks

Dan,

Thank you for taking the time to do this. I recognise the names and it will certainly help to envisage some of the correspondents as they write.

The're a handsome bunch but, sadly, come second to the car :D
