The disc kit etc shown on ebay was from a 2dr saloon which we recently had in our workshop. All parts were in good order and ran a nice set of 13" minilights. Cannot say whether the kit was a O.burton or better C.S Autoclassics

I'm desperate for Minilites - but they must be 14".

The more you read of the website the more it seems BMC/BL/AR didn't shoot themselves in the foot so much as hack their leg off and beat themselves unconcious with it.
Almost correct. They didn't do it themselves. They invited all the foreign car manufacturers around to do it instead and then gave them the keys to Issigonis' design office.

As an aside I was recently told by a Dolomite buff that the discs & calipers used on the Sprint were the same as those used on the Marina so they must have been pretty good in their day.
You'd think - But they're also the same discs and calipers as used on the Dolly 1300! And not far removed from those used on the Triumph 1300... So that gives you some idea of the real stopping power.
Plenty enough for something lighter like a Minor in my opinion, but actually not all that great at stopping a ton of 120+hp driven in anger from what I've heard (never cooked them on 60hp of Dolly myself though).

Those wheels would look quite nice, kind of like mini lites. Better in Silver though!
