Ouch - do you need a spare 1098 head, or is it a different engine (can't remember)? Having said that, even if you do, I've got no way of getting it to you in time... What's the plan? The world's largest blob of weld?

Well, for the Rally, belt it back into place and weld it up.
Great minds think alike
It's a shame that cast iron doesn't like being welded - We'll see who wins the battle when I put water in it

Yes, I've got a few spare 1098 heads if you are stuck and if you are REALLY stuck, I guess I could deliver (for a cuppa  ). But I think it's an 803 isn't it?

'Doh! I'd forgotten that. It does weld though after a fashion, doesn't it?

You can weld it, but it's far from perfect. OK for a bodge though...

Ah well - at least I know the engine runs fine without any water in it - I reckon it'll be good for the MOT as it is

Thanks for the offers of heads - I have some already, I just don't have time left to change one though!

Gaaah.
G'day Again, thanks for the dates.

Car is past saving IMHO - destined for parts if I can get it for the right price.
Body sags noticeably when you open the doors - you have to force them shut again. No floor to speak of, but - recond shocks, new radiator(7yr ago), good front bumper, very good seats and wheels.

But we'll see, owner's opinion of value is different to mine. :D

Cheers
