Great minds think alikeWell, for the Rally, belt it back into place and weld it up.

It's a shame that cast iron doesn't like being welded - We'll see who wins the battle when I put water in it

2013... managed to seize my 1275 just by driving it round the block

Ah well - at least I know the engine runs fine without any water in it - I reckon it'll be good for the MOT as it is

Gaaah.
Car is past saving IMHO - destined for parts if I can get it for the right price.
Body sags noticeably when you open the doors - you have to force them shut again. No floor to speak of, but - recond shocks, new radiator(7yr ago), good front bumper, very good seats and wheels.
But we'll see, owner's opinion of value is different to mine.
