Thanks cam that helps alot the only thing is when speedo showing 70 im doing around 60 previous owner seems to have put wrong speedo in. where abouts on speedo is the sn number? i'll have a look after i've rebuilt the clutch relay arm. the bracket split and i lost the clutch on the m/way pedal went straight to floor not fun but managed to limp home.
regards Rich
The SN number is on the front face of the speedo. If you are going
to instal a 1098 engine and box you should change to a 4.22-1 diff
(9/38 ) and a 1098 speedo AND fit a 1098 type sender unit in your
petrol tank, (otherwise your fuel gauge will not read properly).
Oh! I did not put that smiley in! it was a close brackets originally!!
thanks guys i'll give the guy i 'm getting the engine and box from a call and see if we can rehash the deal. cant see a problem though he does have 15 morris minors all being restored for his family plus a few spares. get the '57 done then start on the '63 pickup{converted traveller}
RICH....That number is not listed in the 'bible', the Minors are
generally in the SN44.....range so logic says yours is from a later
vehicle, perhaps a Mini or similar??
