I think it might have been seen as a bit overwhelming to enter into any response.

Why do pet food manufacturers produce beef & lamb flavour cat food, how many times do you see a group of domestic cats chasing after & bringing down a cow or sheep?

Well Chris, it’s because a long ago study found cats have been observed looking at cows and sheep and salivating at the sight, so, as they are unable to tackle such prey themselves, manufacturers have cashed in on supplying these flavours in a tin.

Everything is given more airtime than climate change, even though it represents the biggest threat to humans.
You may have seen the village of Blatten in Switzerland in the news last May. The end of the Birch glacier broke off and burried three quarters of the village. Scientists knew it was going to happen, so people were evacuated, although I think one person died. Tons and tons of ice and mud fell down into the valley, and there is spectacular film footage that can be viewed on youtube.
The shocking thing is that TWICE as much ice breaks off Greenland EVERY HOUR.
The power of the AMOC (Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation) is calculated at seventeen million cubic metres of water per second. The AMOC takes 1000 years to complete one curcuit. It keeps our part of the world temperate under normal circumstances, but has started to slow down, mostly because of the freshwater going into the sea from Greenland.
If we do not start to tackle climate change soon we are doomed....dooooomed I tell ya!

Space is a white elephant,a distraction and a vanity project. If we get to 4 degrees of warming (which, if nothing changes, we are predicted to do possibly this century) humans are gone.

The smart money would say that there will be killer temperatures round the Med next year because of El Nino and the removal of sulphur from shipping fuel.
Not sure about this year.
Some people FLY to Greece and then wonder why it is on fire.
Flying is just about the worst thing an individual can do as far as climate change is concerned.

Fun climate change fact....the phrase 'carbon footprint' was coined by BP (British Petrolium) in order to put the perceived responsibility for climate change on individuals, rather than fossil fuel companies.

There are people, mostly in the USA, but around the world that call themselves 'Doomers'. They believe that it would be best for the planet if humans die out as soon as possible. The main Doomer in the USA is a man called Eliot Jacobson. It is an interesting and honest point of view IMHO.

Yes, but (at the end of the day) it's about making MORE money for the elite, "donations" from fossil fuel companies to political parties, Wes Streeting accepting "donations" from private health companies......it's ALL about the money honey

A third of the Netherlands is currently below sea level, but they have an increasing number of floating houses, so you should be Ok.

The last time Co2 levels were above 400 parts per million was 3 to 4 million years ago.
Sea levels were 70 feet higher than they are now.
Co2 is currently about 428ppm. Sea levels will catch up unless we start choosing not to fail at climate change.

Similar to the privatised water companies, clearly able to bring them into public ownership, but for some reason the govt. refuse!
