It was a very 'balladry' period. Ruby Murray was also at nos 5, 14, 15, & 17, so a quarter of the top 20 by one artist.

Well Pop Pickers, you had to go down to Number 6 to find a former number 1 with a bit of a beat to it, and that's Mambo Italiano by the poptastic Rosemary Clooney and the Mellomen....
