I understand your nervousness, I have an MG TF convertible, with a detachable stereo front and leave nothing inside of interest.
I have a small Disklok for that one, even though the car is immobilised and alarmed.
My feeling is, if it takes more than 60 seconds to get the car away they will leave it well alone.
As for vandals I look for camera monitored car parks too.
I had a spitfire nicked in the 1970s, consequently I had a long discussion with a bobby friend on car security.
He used disklocks or crooklocks then and still uses them today even though or especially because of modern keyless entry on his modern.
He also like me etches the number plate on surrounding glass.
I did see a video once from a friend of a pair of losers with a lap top on his drive at night looking to nick his subaru, it shows his adult son so incensed he ran out on to the drive screaming blue murder.
So incensed in fact he forgot he slept naked.
The look of shock on those lads faces and the speed they shot off at was an absolute picture.

Good afternoon

The "Large" Disklok as it was known, which covered 41.5cm to 44cm has been discontinued.

However, the "Medium" size Disklok, has increased its size from 39cm / 41.5cm To 39cm / 44cm, covering the same maximum 44cm area that the large Disklok covered.

The medium size Disklok can be converted into a large by removing the 6 felt cushions inside the rim of the Disklok.

I have attached the size conversion instructions, which now is in every box along with a medium Disklok, just in case someone needs to convert the Disklok from a medium to a large

My Morris actually already had all the glass etched when I bought it in 1989. I do think it is a good idea.

My modern Audi is keyless entry and I have been aware of the vulnerability of that for a long time. We always keep the keys in a tin which acts as a Faraday Cage. No signal can be intercepted from outside the house. If they want to break in to get the key they will have to argue with my German Shepherd.

Vandalism is a problem where I live. A particular individual has been ripping off wiper arms from cars parked in the street. He has done hundreds, my Audi three times, but he has actually been caught now.

I bet that slap on the wrist really hurt him.

Given wipers are used primarily when the clouds appear, It would be quite appropriate to shove said wipers where the sun don't shine as punishment I think.

It took a letter to my MP and 18 months of vandalism until there were any serious attempts by the police to catch him. Eventually plain clothes police officers caught him in the act late at night. I do not know whether he has even been to court yet. It was not just a broken wiper blade each time, it was the whole arm and fittings on the spindle. £150 a time. On the third occasion the lowlife thought he would like to urinate in my driveway as well just to add insult to injury!

Did you go out and protect the scene so they could get a DNA match as conclusive forensic evidence....

That sounds like a practical marketing solution....
They've got hold of the Large, given it some removable packing material, then called it the Medium, even thought it's overall dimensions are that of the Large....

Must've been thought up by someone with a background in Takeaway Coffee sales....

I think of the costs saved, from having to manufacture 3 sizes they reduce manufacturing costs by a third, with next to no additional cost of the rubber inserts, genius really.
It must cost a fortune to keep up a worldwide patent for these, I have not seen a Chinese copy yet.

the disclock is a big clumsy thing, and scroats can remove them,

also in the even of a crash I dont fancy having a disclock bouncing round the car,
