Only if they are DAFT enough to connect them to an external network, and to be honest I think they ARE that daft
Funnily enough that may be happening very soon at certain car dealers for servicing...

OK so when your eurobox comes back from the dealer not only will it have cost you a fortune but it could also have picked up a virus!!
Great, even more excuses for the dealers. 'Not our problem you've picked up a virus from your Sat Nav/Govt road spy/Gatso/petrol pump'
Mind you, 1st big date related virus and the roads will be clear and I'll be out in the Minor or Lanchester

Nah - I really don't believe you can virus a car ECU. It's hard enough trying to put the correct software into it (with the modern encryption security etc..) let alone anything else.

I do know you can't lie anymore to your dealer.... they can check exaclty when you car misbehaved. Or you maltreated it anyway. Nice wondering off topic again.

People still do this! I can't go into any details but it is very annoying to have your time wasted only to find out the customer wasn't being honest.

But then I've been with friends as warning lights have come on on their car, only to go to dealers who plug it in and go 'there's nothing wrong with it'; which is incredibly frustrating. Took us years to get someone to actually check the Cavalier, because whenever they plugged it in it'd be working...
Mind you, it took about 3 weeks to get my garage to believe my Golf had intermittent fuel problems ;-/

Not yet, there aren't, for OSX. There were a few for older Mac OSs, and there will be for OSX. There were scare stories of OSX viruses, but they turned ouy to be just that, for now.
I don't think a second hand Mac is going to be quite up to scratch for running an international web forum though. We'll all have to save our pocket money and buy a nice Mac server farm...

I reckon you should reverse the polarity of your server, track their IP location, get me, kate, nikki and bigginger round with his adjustinator and we'll install some new torsion rods and give 'em a good kick in the trunnions...
in the endless search of improving international relations of course...

or you could, if the national club message board is down, utilise the East Kent forum instead if you feel the urge to post.....
