Could the uneven shoes cause the squeaky brakes ?
Will check the drum with my digital calliper.

Searching net for some mintex seen Morris mini ones but not MM
How do I find out part number for front shoes, seller online asked if I know it

Well, original numbers were AJA 5058 for 7" Drum and latter cars 8" Drum were 8G 8767, but I'm not sure how well recognised those numbers would be these days.

The Lockheed Delphi code for 7” REAR shoes was LS1001. I’ll check my records for other part numbers.

The seller on eBay selling mintex shoes have a fair few but unfortunately said nothing available for mine, So I need to find some other brand that's as good

Do you need the 7" or 8" front shoes? ESM 8" branded shoes are Apec and they are good linings.

Mike, Although new,They been on the car a long time now but not used on road until recently, it was my first morris I've had and rushed into buy bits without and knowledge

My shoes are 7"
ESM said can't get Lockheed rear cylinders for my car anymore, are Apec wheel cylinders good ?

I don't know. I haven't used those cylinders. Try Powertrack Brakes Ltd. https://www.powertrackbrakes.co.uk
They are a small business and you will need to phone or e-mail them.

Just for information, the MIntex code for 8" FRONT brake shoes code was MLR4. Very good if you can find them.

I don't know but the Mintex code for 7" REAR shoes is MLR2 so what you suggest is very plausible

I see these Mintex 7” X 1 1/4” Brake Shoes MLR3 LB73 Austin, Coventry Climax, Morrison
But sellers unsure about fitting, says it mentions Morris but nothing about minors

Just a update, I contacted them Friday via email and guy called Paul got back straight away saying had all parts I needed, I replied back about ordering, and I've not heard back since, sent another email Monday still nothing, have you ever used them ?

Yes I have used them. Just give them a ring and pay over the phone. They are a very small business.
