Thanks for those pointers. I never thought of the valve clearances, I’ll check those out & I need to get a feeler gauge to do the points correctly.

Anyone have some suggestions on cleaning out the fuel tank? I drained it from underneath & blew out all the fuel lines including cleaning the carb. But I still see sediment if rust in the float bowl after a few short drives. It also causes issues like misfiring & cutting out for awhile before running again.

Is the best way to remove the tank completely?
