Thanks to all for sharing their knowledge. While I have no doubt Phil’s advice regarding an additional grease nipple would be an improvement, I contacted ESM to ask what their workshop does. In fairness to them, since I’ve always found their service excellent and for the benefit of others reading this thread, I thought I should post their response.

“…They fit them ‘as is’, and as far as I know it hasn’t been a problem thus far!”

That said, if anyone has a photograph showing the additional grease nipple having been fitted it might be useful if the image is posted here? To assist anyone that may want to carry this out.

Thanks again to all.

Above is the trunnion modified to determine where is the best place to fit an additional grease nipple - see topics above.
The grease nipple opposite the vertical slot in the trunnion threads is the one to fit.
David Manner Group is mentioned in one of the topics above as supplying bottom trunnions with the additional grease nipple fitted.

depends on how long you keep the car for 5 years or 20.without needing to rebuild suspension more than once or maybe twice. Remember all of the available parts are a copy of a copy etc. They are no way a good or as well engineered as the original. Very simple to fit extra nipple but doubt esm will do it.
