Thanks for the info, it prompted me to play the video on the Bulldog sight and I managed to catch a brief glimpse of the bars as the guy was installing the clamp, they do indeed adjust and being the same model Halfords stock, I’ll get one.

Bought today. Doesn’t take off chunks of paintwork like the triangular council type clamp did.

Hi, the Bulldog model number is CC100, I bought it from Halfords but probably available elsewhere.

most wheelclamps easily removed with a set of stilsons,th kind your friendly plumber ,or unfriendly itinerant uses.beware. re,john
Hi,
I think the point is it's a deterrent.
Most thieving scum will be looking for a quick steal and getaway, if they have to spend time getting past things, before they can actually steal your car, then their risk of being caught increases.
So the idea is that it persuades them to leave yours alone and go looking for easier pickings elsewhere.
(Where I still hope they get caught and beaten to a pulp!
)
Best wishes,
Mike.

As regards the Bulldog clamp - it is very difficult if not impossible to remove the clamp from the wheel with a set of Stilsons. The clamp is more solid than it looks.
