I wonder what grade of steel these are made from, and if they are heat treated or not ?
They look as though they should be fairly easy to make on the lathe.

The grade of steel should be at least EN8.
The Marina/Ital trunnion pins are machine ground and surfaced hardened. That said the surface hardening of the pin goes quite deep as I found out whilst trying to modify a Marina/Ital trunnion pin.
It should be noted that the rear threaded part of the Marina/Ital trunnion pin is longer so as to pass through the thick suspension arm and to enable the attachment of the large steering stop/limitation nut. The longer threaded pin has no effect on its use with Morris Minor suspension.

What do you reckon to these ?

I emailed the seller asking about the "Brand" of them, he told m they are in unlabelled bags and came from Quinten Hazel when they cleared them out.
I am not convinced quite yet.

Unless you know and can qualify the brand I would give them a miss.
Just bought a NOS Unipart Marina/Ital lower trunnion assy for the pin, thrust washers, nuts, bushes, rubber thrust washer seals etc so the good parts are out there.
Here is another:-

Hello all and a happy new year.
Carrying on this thread but going back to the post about the front tie bars and their bushes, I've just received some new rubber bushes to do the poly bush at the front/rubber bush at the back set up. Unfortunately none of the bushes now seem to have the little moulded spigot that cushions the tie bar as it goes through the chassis bracket.
Does anyone know of a way around this or does everyone just rely on the bushes sitting and staying concentric in the cup of the washers on the chassis bracket?
Many thanks,
Cheers, Colin.
