I've indeed wondered in the past, what value, an insurance company, would put on a Minor if it was on a non classic cover.

It is supposed to be 'market value' and given that many are now, even in simply 'acceptable' condition worth several thousand, I would have thought that non classic insurance would have been cheaper, that said they would be quicker. I suspect, to write a Minor off in the event of an accident, even though it is probably easier and cheaper to repair than most modern cars. (by the right people!)

There's no right or wrong answer. You just have to take a view, depending upon your own circumstances
