I realised that last night while trying to work out what I have got.
There a couple of articles I have found so will try and work it out later today.

Whilst it may be a 940 head not all 940 heads are the same - there are several variants of the 940 head. Those variants include valve size (listed in the head chart above) and the head shape and sculpturing or not around the thermostat housing and inlet/exhaust ports.
Photographs of the head around the thermostat housing and the inlet exhaust ports would be helpful.
Here is a photo of a standard 940 1275cc Sprite / Midget head around the thermostat housing
Are there any numbers stamped on the top flat surface of the head by the thermostat. [frame]
