True, I did doubt mine was an 'S' head mainly on the grounds that I have the full engine and the block doesn't have the tappet chest covers and is just solid cast. It had the twin 1 1/4"su carbs and with the twin valve springs and extra stud and bolt head looked like an 'S'. The block was the give away. Maybe if they did use the 'S' head on 1300GT engines then it could be an 'S' head on a later style block !!!les wrote:MrIan, I think you will find the head you mention was fitted to the mk3 S also. Either way at a later date the head will be going onto the 1275 Marina lump in Boris Minor.
