Yes, it must be impossible suiting everyone. These days we hibernate when the school kids are on holiday,so the dates are ideal. Twenty five years ago I'd have agreed with orb596!

My original request on 6 Jan was for information on what facilities will be availble for camping at this years rally. i.e. showers, toilets etc
If anyone has any info on facilities it would help in deciding if we camp or not.
Still need this information.

Maybe no one knows, I expect toilets will be provided and water. The former getting pretty grim quite quickly! Recon on it being basic and either rough it for a day or two, or get tucked up in an hotel.

I have asked Andrew to comment on what facilities will be available, but pending his response, and from experience over many years: Toilets are always provided. There tends to be a mixture of luxury trailer units and plastic "tardis" types. All are serviced regularly during the weekend. Showers are normally provided, sometimes with specific operating times. As soon as any further details are available they will be published, but my recommendation would be to plan to attend, and if you have any reservations about camping then book a B&B or hotel - but get in early as places are genuinely being snapped up.

Both the Morris Register and the Austin Ten Drivers Club always hold their National Rally in the school holidays to allow members with young families to attend for the whole weekend. This is especially important if, like us (and I'm sure many others) you have to drive a long distance to get to the National - nearly 200 miles this year.
When will the organisers learn that we need to encourage young people and families to come to these things if the club is going to survive for another 40 years!
A good point and one thats just become relevant for us now the kids have started school, especially when having a stall. At least its not too far away for us thid year...

Entry forms will be included in the March/April Minor Matters and should also be available from this web site in due course. The date is well publicised, the forms will follow ASAP.

Only 429 miles in my Series II so thinking about setting off next weekend.
Is there a theme on Branch Avenue this year?

The Spirit of 1976, inspired as it's when the Club was formed, hence the 40th Anniversary

Hopefully it won't be as bad as it was for the Centenary.....that was a very miserable wet weekend!
