Yup, it seems to have gone the way of all flesh. The poltergeist moves on...

Nope - I can still find it...Anyway - This one sounds more like the clock is working, but the cable is not going round. The gearbox usually needs more than a thump to fix it.
At the gearbox end there is a large round plastic insert that the cable screws into. Remove the cable, then unscrew the insert. Withing the insert is a steel shaft that has a (plastic?) gear on it - Check that the shaft still fits snugly in the insert and also that the plastic gear has no missing teeth and is tight on the shaft. Check the cable end of the cshaft to make sure the square hole is still there and the cable fits it well.
If all that is fine then something fairly odd is happening - put the insert back in the box and re-recheck the cable and speedo.
Onne, Look - your speedo is faulty and that's clear to all. We're trying to help the guy who posted the thread, not the hijacker ;-) ;-)Please people, if the miles are still added......
It's OK for me too, so that's knackered your Ginger theory......... unless.......... it's only a BIG Ginger thing??Kevin wrote:Its ok for me so it is mainly a Ginger thing then.
