Why have the id plates been removed from the bodyshell?

There's no pic of the bodyshell, so what are people bidding on, must
be the id, certainly cannot be the car

Excuse my question, but if he's able to know about this thread, by naming all usernames involved, is it not quite possible he/she is a (possibly well regarded) user of this messageboard and/or the Minor community?
Quite staggering to think someone would have the audacity to do so from within the community itself!
I suppose there's nothing eBay can do due to their T&C's (he's not really doing anything wrong), but maybe the reg can be followed as Matt Tomkins suggested and can be brought to justice? Assuming there is a need to, of course.

I see things from both sides of the coin however there is no car for sale and no mention of collecting/buying a car just the id this is the worrying point....

This seller has more than one minor, I wonder if his other car is now a two door ex panda??

Im very upset as the seller didnt mention my name on his ebay site, however I did get a promise to be dealt with accordingly, Ummm I wonder....

It DOES say the shell has to be corrected?Why do you say theres no mention of it?

If this shell does exist, Would it still be possible to use the identity, being as the seller states that

Does this mean that what is left may not constitute as the original car and so regardless of what is said and done the outcome will inevitably be a car that has been rung?

Well, for sake of argument, the 'shell' could be the bulkhead alone, we do not know.
Perhaps eBay should change its T&C's to include a picture of the vehicle - if that is what the seller is maintaining he sells.

I doubt the id will be used to cloan a Minor here in the UK.

Probably used to cloan a pinched Minor destined for overseas.

Are you chaps all ready for the letters from his solicitors? In the unlikely event that he makes a fuss about it we should have whip-round and see him in court.

Well, if you had your car pinched and some scrote cloned it with a dodgy ID....? I think that's what the fuss might be about.

Yes but I haven't and I doubt any car thief would be thick enough to strip it and offer its remnants with documents on Ebay.

The concern is not that the rusty shell with documents has been stolen, but rather that the id might be used to disguise another minor which has been.

Lovely old A35(wallace&grommet) van just been stolen.... Look at a30 club forum. Probably destined to be sold with fake provenance from fleabag. I'd cut the b......s hands off!

I think there are far more important things in life.It'[s all supposition and what ifs,if this didn't happen that wouldn't happen etc and that can be said about virtually anything.I aren't condoning theft but there are plenty of thieves in suit and tie sat behind big desks that steal more in one tax year than a factory full of Minors.Now there's a worthwhile target!
