I got a reply saying will be transferable when it gets an MOT fat chance of that, without a stolen car to clone it ,will be contacting E Bay.

We all know about body numbers and bodyshell changes nowadays, makes it very difficult to clone Minor's.

Borrow a good roadworthy Minor, swop the id, get it MoT'd....easy as that!

apparently has the engine and box and other bits,so looks like a breaker
Irmscher ,reported it as well,he does reply to me but obviously dosen't want to put my questions on the listing
Its just another one of the many that are allways poping up on E Bay,the last being just the vin plate and v5, At least when we reported that one it was off in a day,Its just a shame that someone will win this and be left with a worthless wreck. At least it won't be somone on here or the other minor sites that no doubt look here.
Not sure but didn't someone a while back suggest trying to find a way of flagging these numbers up with the police or dvla,so that they could be investigated if they ever came up on the system.
I still have a couple of contacts in the local stolen vehicle squad as a left over from my time in the police I'll try to see what they can suggest,Its about time these practices are stopped dead in the water. Its poping up about once a month now.

It's MOT exempt, so could in theory be taxed as is but the chances are when it came to removing the reg, DVLA would demand an inspection.
NOT so ,matter not if its exempt, the regs are clear(Been discussed many times) To transfer a regs requires that the vehicle must be MOT,and taxed in the last 6 months or shown to be tax exempt ,it has to be shown that it was on the road ie insured taxed ,etc . they don't examine like they used to back in the day when you could use an old motor cycle frame or tractor ,take it on a trailor to the local office and have the number transfered .Did that twice back in the sixties .

Have a look at the regs on dvla site. The reg was left in place when exemption came in to prevent exactly this situation.
Aha, I wasnt aware of that, it was something that had worried me when the MOT exemption came out. Thanks for clearing that up.

Surely this is exactly the time frame during which you, supported by your friend, had previously told us that Minors DO have the LBM?? I'm totally confused now. My own car of that age certainly has it.
