"Rather annoying" is a very forgiving description of Tim Shaw! He's an annoying, childish, useless waste of space that totally ruins what otherwise could be a decent programme.I reckon his mum must be the producer.

This show and Wheeler Dealers both follow the same theme as a dealer.
You get a Minor £1000 to £2500, you do the basic chassis repairs, quick service then rip out all the character and soul. Meaning - New Wood, New Interior (often the cheaper 60's vinyl), New Chrome and quick respray (often in a poor original colour match). Then you sell it for £9995 or £11995 if its a split screen.
In fairness, the Wheel Dealers was quite a good program. Car SOS's dodgy bodge on the wood leaving poor rear metal work did not advertise the professionalism and care taken by most minor enthusiasts take when restoring their cars. The bonnet shut and line was an awful fit. Also, the car looked Flint at the start and ended up Rose Taupe. Wheeler Dealers Almond Green also looked too dark and greeny.
Glad mine took a year to find and is nice and original.

No one in their right mind would ignore a wrongly positioned piece of bodywork and alter a perfectly good part, ie the timber, in an attempt to overcome the problem
Although this is what was said I very much doubt it is what was done as their workshop is full of bodywork tools and welding gear.

I thought they said a carpenter was brought in to alter the wood, but if you're right, it must be the first time someone has implied they have bodged something, whilst all the time they really did it properly! It's usually the other way round.
