I have found some new blanking plates with lights for this option.[frame]Image[/frame]
The bleu box is the original one;[frame]Image[/frame]
I think they should be available also in the UK.

thanks for the all the help really appreciated! the blanking plates pictured above would be ideal, seem to be having quite a lot of difficulty finding them though. if I don't have any luck i'll get the slots welded, thanks again!

welding them up will be a big job. just cut some plates out of steel or ally and fix on with mastic and screws

its dark green paint code gn12 bit of a rare colour but the same as my 57 converted saloon

sorry just gone back through your post and seen you know its called dark green.
when I had mine painted 20+ years ago the paint code (gn12) meant nothing to the paint suppliers so I had to take a glovebox lid in to them to do a colour match.
