Morris Minor Owners Club

Hello All!

I wonder if anyone could help. I'm getting married in September and my fiancé Hannah really wants a red 4 door Morris Minor!
Is it just me or is it impossible to find one?!
We're getting married in Stockport and the reception's in Swettingham.
If anyone knows where i could find one of these, I would be forever grateful!!

It might be difficult to find a red one!

Minors were never painted red from the factory, closest you'd find would be Maroon (B) I'd imagine.
There are some around, painted since leaving the factory by an owner, but you'd be hard pushed to find one in distance, as they never really existed.
I know of a red two door, and a red convertible, and a few red GPO/telephone vans, but no 4 doors unfortunately.
Were red PO vans painted red from the factory, or were they supplied in primer? (Sorry for the OT question).

Blue or green would be OK if we can't find a red one. As long as it has 4 doors! If anyone hears of one we can hire in Cheshire, give me a shout!

Last nights meeting was a success so thanks to those that attended, it was decided to move from a Monday evening to a Wednesday evening so the next one is scheduled for weds 25th march

So seen the link as directed ... and read replies per South Cheshire" and aware you maybe starting 1st branch meeting end of Feb 2014 and a meet on proposed LAST Monday evening at Jolly Tar pub in Wardle ( Nantwich).

Perhaps you might note me as to how the Branch setup now is.:-
eg confirmation of meeting date and venue and I will try to come along and introduce myself.

we had 9 people turn up Wednesday evening and 2 sent apologies, that's not including me & jo!
and since i have had another 2 people contact me so thinks are looking promising
hopefully at the next meeting we shall be sorting out a committee etc
