Oh dear...best wishes for a speedy recovery! I'm afraid yes - the MOT tester will want to see continuous welding from below....and he won't be fooled by Waxoyl....... He's actually not allowed to look inside unless surfaces are bare - if you have carpets/mats etc - he's not supposed to lift them....
