Well, after checking things out there is absolutely no sign of foul play.........
I can't undderstand it at all! The window winds down and up with a little resistance so I can't see it dropping on it's own. Also, you can't push the windows down on their own..........
It's a mystery to me! Have to keep an eye on it!!

Strikes me it was either the door left unlocked, or the 'any old small key'll open that' sydrome then. I don't know another way of opening the door without leaving marks, let's hope it doesn't happen again.

Well, the only possible thing I can think of is if I had wound the window down and left it down, locked the car and walked off............
Can't remember doing it, and being as I'm paranoid about security I would have noticed the window being down.......... but that's the only logical conclusion I can come to.

I think it's the sort of thing that starts to happen the second you turn 30...

30? It started to me years ago.
The number of times I come back to my car and find I've left [a door or the boot] unlocked, despite being convinced I'd checked it.... it's scary!
I once managed to leave my Golf unlocked for a full 2 weeks, by forgetting to lock it before I went away....

Oh dear........... maybe I did then.
I remember winding it down when I started it up a day or so before, but I thought I remembered winding it back up again......
Where's my brain medicine........... SMITHERS!! massage my brain!

Maybe someone pushed up the catch that holds the quarterlight shut with a thin screwdriver, then opened the quarterlight. then put their arm through the quarterlight hole and wound down the main window.
One of the advertisers in Minor Matters sells a small gadget that prevents anyone from getting in this way.

Is that actually possible...? Push it hard enough so the catch / glass breaks, yes, but jemmying it open with a set of optician's screwdrivers? 'tis an interesting proposition, I'll grant you...

BUT the quarterlight was closed with the catch down!! I can't see a criminal going to the trouble to close it again............
Must be me.............
