SCOTT... think you are correct there, the book says that the
series two LCVs had no provision for the windscreen rubber metal
insert.

My trav. doesn't have any metal or plasticy insert...

No, the reason I showed the piccy (hope you didn't mind) is because it's unusual so I wanted the others to see an example.

umm yes... thats what it is.... nothing to do with one torsion bar set on the wrong spline, and a bent chassis leg...

my brother in laws 59 traveller has no trim strip or provision for it,steve
