Les/John, my tracker is similar to the one linked above. A DIY job no more difficult than fitting a car stereo and there are quite a few hiding places around our cars once you start looking for panels to remove. I use a free GiffGaff SIM card on pay as you go, which costs nothing per month but I have to keep credit on it and remember to keep the SIM active by using it every few months. To do that I just text 'google' to the tracker and it replies with coordinates and a link to google maps, so I can see where the car is.
