I have exactly this problem, made me think my oil pressure was low. I'll give it a check tomorrow. Thanks!

Dip and main are same watts on my lights, and most others - any difference is so tiny there won't be a significant difference in the brilliance of the extremely low power warning light!! As far as these lights are concerned the battery (unless old/failing) is pretty much an 'infinite' source of current.
