To be fair I think the ad is not miss-worded - the registration number is indeed 'transferrable' (once the car is in a fit state to MOT test). As long as the car is not completely kippered underneath, it might be possible to get it 'roadworthy' with the required expence equating to the percieved value of the number to a particular individual - (Fred Owen, for example 8) ).

Cosmetics would not be needed, knowing Moggie Engines it will probably start with a pit of petrol, brake part etc., are cheap and easy to fix, and so on.

The shame of the matter is that the number may possibly be worth more than the whole car, which I find rather bizarre.

My sons name is Fraser - but his Dad is too mean to buy him a 'cherished number'. Wouldn't mind buying him the car though - is it was considerably cheaper :lol: :lol: :lol:
