Have just been scouring the internet and managed to find a few mig welders about as well.

That's good, it gives me a better idea!

The 'Mr Grumpy' type rollover jobbies, as photo above, which attatch to the two hubs, are very good and can sometimes be had from ads on tinternet - you will always be able to get your money back on one of them cos they can be used on any restoration job, alternatively get an idea of what you need and start welding and fabricating your rollover device whilst doing your course! If it is a college course they usually do thick (up to 5mm) and thin (about 1mm) practice - have a word with the tutor beforehand and tell him what you want to do! Get pally with as many people as you can who do their own welding, and accumulate as much scrap steel sheet as you can (ask the local engineers if you can raid their skip) as practice makes perfect! And don't put that Cornflake packet in the recycling bin - that thickness of cardboard is ideal for cutting patterns out of! Oh, and when you do get round to starting, don't forget to start a 'Restorations' thread so we can see how you are getting on (and either help or hinder as the case may be)!
AND ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION!!!!!!!!

ps you want a MIG welder with gas - the gasless ones are much more difficult to control and I've known people to give up in frustration. MIG with gas is a lot easier to control!

Ok, everything is sorted in just struggling to find a transport company near me.

It will be exmoor to Plymouth area.


My Morris has NO MOT and the engines probably not great after sitting around a lot so a transporter is needed

You don't have to roll it over, I have done mine on it's wheels and ramps, most of the welding on the floors and sills can be done from above, the only bit which is a bit difficult to access is the centre crossmember.

It's true, you don't have to roll it but having done them both ways I would always roll for any sizeable job.
You can get more done in comfort and safety with the car on it's side.
