Black was probably the primer coat.
Paultubby they would have been phillips head self tappers in those days :lol:

In the 35 odd yrs I've been around GPO/PO Minors, this feature has
eluded me.

Would you please e-mail me photos of the vans you mention, better
to arrive at a satisfactory conclusion. Have you removed this panel to
determine whether fitted after the top-coat?

If I'm wrong, I will accept it - FACTS are all important in research!

I have no idea what you refer to regarding the last subject you raised.

I know it is nowt to do with 'Bodywork' but what is this 'auto-clutch' mentioned by POMMReg a few inches previously?

Experimented with during '62.

Write a book about all the things missing from every other book
on the Minor, Ooops, that's what the MINOReg are doing....

Anyone have a Series2 Body Service Parts Book to enable us to
establish Cowley change points - re facia/central speedo change.
