Yesterday I received my renewal notice for my MGB GT from Footman James dated 13/12/2013. The premium has increased by £0.08!

I can remember : Bain Dawes, Aon, Footman James, now Towergate (still operating under the FJ name though) I'm sure I've missed a few

I presume that FJ/T/G are the only ones now?
Did speak to Peter James at the classic car show at the Trafford Center a couple of months ago, and he did a quote for me just out of interest.
Came out £600 more than I currently pay, but still a massive amount less than all the other usual thieving siuspects.

I think it was Bain Hogg with a picture of Stirling Moss on the front

I changed from FJ this year after being with them for nearly 10 years and with identical cover plus the additional "have your car back for free" in the event of a write off accident and saved myself a small fortune and when I asked them about the high price of their cover they made no attempt to win me over or want my business and I found four other companies that were half the price of my renewal quote from FJ albeit not quite as good a cover...but I don't need European cover any way.

Busguy & coalmossian: I have removed your posts re: RH Insurance to a new thread as they are 'off topic' to this thread (and the OP has now had his specific query answered by FJ so thread locked). The new thread is here:
