The sheet looks OK for grinding sparks, a bit flammable to be around welding though.
Any weld that gets on your clothes tends to get put out fast as it hurts

if any got on the sheet it might smoulder away after the welding was finished for the day

Yes, it really does hurt! Got fed up with burn holes in my cloths (and me) - so, I invested in a leather apron (kinky), good investment - less than a tenner!

Good point Marky. FWIW, I have a couple of welding blankets that I use.
