People nowadays tend to forget LCV were bought to earn their keep.Rasputin wrote:Quite a few LCV`s have had a better cab or new chassis fitted over the years. My pickup is a bit like Triggers broom, and is probably one of the ones that Pomreg described as a ringer after he examined it at the National. They were working vehicles, and if the cab was getting rough and a better one came along, the owner just changed it.The cab on mine came without the provision for a passenger sunvisor, there is no hole for it.Also it has been registered as a pickup from new but the body number begins MAW and not MAU and has been since new as I have a photocopy of the original logbook.
Is yours the red pick-up with the illegible NMP plate?
Personally, would always keep the id with the cab - as you would if buying a NEW replacement chassis.
