There is of course an awkward situation where a poster might ask for help etc, then end his/her request with a 'thank you' before the help is received. In that case when the help IS received some might say that would negate the need to send more thanks? Tricky. Personally I like to acknowledge after the event.

Manners cost nothing!
I contacted someone who was selling some aerosol cans of paint the correct colour for my Traveller. That was over a fortnight ago ( I sent two PMs) and I still await a reply.
Costs nothing and takes a few seconds to reply to say that they are already sold, which I assume they are?
It seems that standards in courtesy, as in most other things, are falling.
Now when I were a lad......................................................!
