Hi

Are the standard bore stainless steel exhaust that much louder? I was going to get big bore, but after reading several posts on similar subjects, a standard 948cc doesn't fair we'll with one on? My car is standard and may look into another head when mine fails! I do nearly 50 miles a day, half of which is on motorway so I expect the lead that's lubricating my valves will soon be burned away!

If it's a 948 you need an unleaded head (cam4810 I think) from a 998 Mini......often pretty well given away (I have in the past) - check ebay. OR - go for the 12G940 upgrade.

12G940 upgrade is what I want to go for. Will I have to do anything to it, or will it go straight on? You mentioned somewhere about fitting a 1098 camshaft too.

Hi

My car is booked in at powerflow exhausts, having a full stainless system from manifold. It will be 1.5" from manifold to a box in original position, then1.75" to the rear axle, then 2" to the tail pipe with a rolled edge finish.
