Well, it doesn't though does it?? If it has to fit an A-series engine then it's more complex as the Ford flywheels don't fit

I'd hardly call this:

a simple slot-in job!!

He's removed most of the bulkhead to get the large Ford components to fit!!!

...and one which it seems, requires chassis strengthening (is it just me or does that cross-member look like it's slightly bent???)

that was the most horrifing conversion i have seen , like a complete custom chassis to .. any why oh why use a nasty old ford td... Why not a nice corsa 1.5td or even a diahatsu 3cyl tdi...

have had a tape measure on both last time i thought diesel..

no way you could fit a type 9 or mt75 box and bell housing to a minor without major mods.

sure he had to move the steering rack back....

So you see, it's not as simple as you think. Maybe you need to think INSIDE the box at the workings a little more!! And I don't need and conversions on my car thanks. I have done enough!!

Nah thats just for trying to alter theories, processes and working practices mainly in office environments, engineering is a far more structured science.
I have gone through them all at work, its a new ballgame (what ballgame) think outside the box (what box is that then) holistic solutions are now required (alternatives to something that works) and many others over the years, when in reality many things that work fine get upper management worried as they are so used to making things go wrong by change for changes sake, so much so that certain things go full circle and end up back where they started.
So I with Cam and forget the Box and stick with the Wheel.

Don't start with all that "thinking outside the box" and "ballgame" rubbish, I've heard all that drivvle off my lord and master, Justin King, all week! I work for Sainsbury's and he's doing the same to us as he did @ M&S! I'll give him "BALLGAME"

Sorry, just having a rant :P

Think yourself lucky!
I've seen far worse than that  There was a website with project-gone-wrong-disater-cars dedicated to those ppl who had more enthusiasm than foresight or ability. I think it was called 'numpty cars' and showed the e-bay adverts of these scary project cars when the owner had given up and tried to offload.

Yes, but at least those numptymobiles actually exist (although you do wonder why they bothered :-? ). I think we'll have a long wait before Swiss Tony's efforts appear in the metal!

I think a certain person has been watching to many Honda adverts (arnt they cool lol) & got carried away in his own imagination. However speaking of honda & the argument on change. I guess Honda has shown that sometimes its not good to stick with tradition & you should throw away the rule book.

The biggest problems with companys is that when they are suffering problems rather than address the issue direct they try & find a way around the situation. Take the post office! They were having problems. Rather than address them. They just changed the name. Wow that certainly solved all there problems. lol
