It's not the T&C's but the implementation etc

How would you rather we implement it then? We only act using our best judgement...
We could delete anything that doesn't abide by the T&Cs, however IMO its normally better to lock or edit. If I end up moderating anything I always post publically that it was me.
TBH - I could delete this thread - there is enough negative comments towards the MODs (i.e. representatives of the MMOC) in it, but if you have constructive critisism I would like to hear it! Its something we don't get...
(lots of unconstructive though!)

my last words on this topic
Disagreeing with somebody is not being negative

Agreed - and I don't think we have moderated purely because of a disagreement?
Certainly the recent ones have been because of things like:
I think it should have been painted a matt s----ty brown, it would then match the price
you people make me vomit!!!!!!
talk about having people over...
I would call each of those more than disagreement. And comparing the Mods and MMOC officials with the Nazi Party leader between 1939 and 1945 (earlier in this thread) isn't a disagreement either.
I'm sure you can find those quotes if you look.

Yes, no need for that sort of stuff, maybe when those type of thing are posted a Mod could simply put his or her post in, saying something along the lines of ---Come on lets lighten up on the comments, its going too far now!
I know it relies on goodwill but it might make everyone feel more inclusive, and respectful, rather than the feeling sometimes that threads are locked/deleted without warning. Just a thought in the interest of something constructive.

Fair enough Les - Duly noted
Its difficult though when you see the thread a few days after and everyone is on the bandwagon!
I will edit comments such as above - because they are either offensive or are really critical and will PM the poster. I will post a warning up and if it continues thats when the thread will be locked/deleted. I would be happy with that - would all of you?

Yes Matt I would go along those lines

Well done Matt for coming back on this - and explaining. I'm sure you know as well as any of us - that the sellers who complain are probably 'protesting too much' - ie they don't want any problems with the car/item they are selling exposed by those who perhaps can see through the sales pitch......and are only trying to warn the unwary of possible deficiencies. Selling threads for cars often contain encouraging comments where justified, and it's only fair that problem areas should also be queried where justified. The condition that a price should be specified is common on other forums - and I fully support that idea - rather than 'offers'.....

Matt, If You and other Mods don't see an undesirable posts for a few days ( and why would you be expected to be here 24/7) there is no way these posts can be stopped, rules or not, as in those cases it can't be deleted/locked anyway until it's seen.I think it's more a case of action taken when the post IS seen. ie locked deleted or told to ease up. Incidentally I'm also happy with your response/suggestion.
One last thing, although we can all probably agree that things can get out of hand now and then, some of the responses, rather than being rude, have been very witty and I for one would hate to lose that aspect, I've had many a good chuckle.
Sometimes the devil makes you do it!
