Seriously - 0.00025" ??? You can measure that?? If true - it's too tight - are these new thrust washers you fitted? If so - refit the old ones.......

Well I did try and get one of the thinnest feeler's in the set down and no way so I was just guessing at .25, yes new standard set unless BM have sent the wrong one's and i've got the next size up, recept says standard thrust bearings.

Everything needs to be very clean and flat, a tiny burr or speck of dirt amounts to several thousands of an inch.

Clean and flat,........

, I wonder if it's a case of a little too much grease behind the washer's?, I'll try to ease them back as far as I can with something softer and squeeze any excess out.

Possible I suppose, the thrust washers don't move so need zero grease needed on the backs anyway.
Are you measuring with just the centre cap and thrusts installed?
It all should fit together "just so" if the thrust washers will rock in any direction there is a problem.

Completed the instlation with all caps fitted and torqed down, I have found some used standard washer's so if it's not a grease problem I can fit them, thanks.
