If it helps, the coach line colour on late model green cars of various shades was usually Old English White to match the wheels which were painted in the same colour. Looking at various photos of earlier model cars that I have lying about, most don't have a coach line painted on the raised detailing on the front doors and bonnet. My Traveller is an almond green with OEW stripes/wheels and looks good to me!![frame]

Sourced from the Morris Minor Centre, Bath.
Published in Lindsay Porter's Morris Minor restoration guide under specifications.

Persoanlly I'd sooner go with dated original factory photos in the Jon Pressnall book, as changes would not particulally happen over the Christmas Holidays. However the next year model tended to appear in the autumn of the previous year so if you accept a '51 model would start towards the end of 1950, (as stated in the top paragraph of the Lindsay Porter page you have scanned) then we and the respective authors are all right, that the narrower coachline was a 1951 model change and started appearing on cars towards the end of 1950.

I shall go for an "Old English white" line on mine, I still haven't been able to get the special masking tape though! Well the original went in 1987, so after 26 years, what's the rush!

Page 105 of "The Official Photo Album" shows an original colour factory photo of an Empire Green convertible. Described in the caption as having a white coachline, it looks a bit creamy on the pic, certainly more cream than the whitewashed walls of the thatched cottage in the background, so I'd reckon the OEW would be about as close and accurate as anyone could get!
One day I'll get round to redoing mine which currently sports a gold stick on stripe...
