Great news - glad that you are feeling a bit better about things today. No matter which branch you go along to, you will be made most welcome I'm sure. Also, it will open up a new world of spares too. I'm convinced that there is a spare fuel tank in the South Lincs/Cambridgeshire/Northants area that won't cost much and will sort your problem for you too. Wherever you decide to go - good luck! Do come and see us in the North though if you decide to go South won't you

For choosing a branch, you could try all of them to see how you get on. You might gel with some more than others.
They'll also probably be on different days, so it could be worthwhile choosing a branch that meets on a suitable day for you.

Arh! Brucek I sense a North/South divide. I notice you are in Lincoln. Not too far from me! I go there quite regularly from Deeping St James for work courses. Haven't tackled any hill starts yet in the morris!
I'm thinking of joining the young persons morris minor club too (but then I only have 3 months of being a member eeek!)

Yep - Lincoln it is - well just Soith of actually -
No North /South really - just choices to make since Lincs branch will meet North of Stamford and the others (probably) South so I guess it will depend upon who has the better weather (or beer perhaps!)
When I joined t'club in 1985, i was a young member but sadly there was no register in them days. Now I just look older but am still a young member inside

Sounds like the starter is 'sticking in' - needs taking off and cleaning with choke/carb spray cleaner- that's all! DO NOT oil the Bendix.
