We have both! The trafficators have a switch so that they be be switched off for motorway speeds! When looking for a new indicator switch that incorporated a headlamp flash, I found one at a local autojumble, which on closer inspection has two independent circuits. This means that one is used for the 'new' flasher circuit and the other for the original trafficator circuit - no need for dual flasher units or anything. It also meant that I could use a combined flasher/hazard unit, which simplified that bit as well.

Does anyone know what vehicle a dual circuit Lucas indicator switch could be from? It has the small green repeater light on the end of the stalk, and I would like to get a spare complete switch!

In the earlier comment re a single warning lamp - no need for any diodes! The warning lamp will earth through the 'wrong side' unit - but the current flow will be too low to activate the signal on the wrong side.

Dooh! Of course there aren't - why make it simple, when you could have complicated??? Fit the single bulb in exactly the same way as the little green repeater bulb on the end of the later flasher indicator stalks - wired across the 2 sides.
