Can you say if the change of insurer from Red Star to RSA is the driver for these Premium increases and why you have changed the underwriter?
Hi. The MMOC scheme has always been written by RSA going back to the days when it was with AON. In some instances ERS were able to offer cheaper cover so we automatically placed the business with them. Since we parted with ERS last December we've continued to offer members cover through the RSA scheme.

In the last couple of weeks we have added KGM to our panel or insurers and Chaucer have also revised their proposition and are attracting a proportion of the MMOC business. The healthy competition between our insurers is a good thing and is already proving to have a positive impact on rates.

The short answer to your question is 'no, not really,' it's the ever increasing cost of claims and personal injury in particular that is driving higher premiums.

Thanks for the response Dave, regarding garage issue. Fortunately you were able to renew my existing Minor policy with the original 'kept on driveway' location but unfortunately my other recently finished Minor (being a new policy) had to meet the garage requirement.

Les

Would you mind dropping me a pm with your postcode and surname so I can check that out. I'm not saying we've got it wrong but it seems a bit odd that we'd cover one vehicle on the drive but the other one has to be garaged :-?

Many thanks

Dave
