[quotI would find it a hassle to have to hold the switch by hande][/quote] If God forbid you had an accident and the reason was that you were driving one handed while holding the switch presumably to execute a turn, steering one handed ,I would think the old plod would regard it that you were not in proper control of the vehicle,not to mention the hassle with the insurance,I would get it fixed or rig up another switch to hold it out untill you switched it off.Or better still fit indicators.

The self cancelling switch on the four doors I think works by an damped spring either oil or friction, ie the damped spring slowly returns it off. I've seen various ones in various states - some that spring back instantly, (no oil?) some that stay on (broken spring?) and various times of return from about 5 secs to 60secs!
Finding one that stays on till switched off is probably best scenario unless you want to fork out for a new one!

Must try taking one aparrt and seeing how fixable it is...

Cheers Ian,I have managed to get mine to work at around 10-20 seconds.But it is erratic to say the least.
