Good job, but make sure the plugs are gapped correctly. Whoever did mine appears to have just bunged them in; the transformation when properly gapped was remarkable!

As you've just done a load of servicing, I'd recommend to stop more frequently in the first part of the journey to do basic checks (oil / water / nothing fallen off). Presuming everything is perfectly ok after 20 miles, then 50, then another 50, then 100.

Sorry to say, a lot of teething trouble can come from new parts and/or fitting them ;-) Once you've got plenty of miles under your belt without finding anything on a check it's far less likely you'll have a problem. If you do find a fluid level dropping - stop more frequently in case the loss gets worse.

I have to say I often forget to take my own advice here and find out the water is too low etc.. a bit too late as I'm an eternal optimist and didn't find any water loss at 20 miles, so why stop again for a few hundred miles...
